Supply Chain Functions
Overview
Resources and scheduling of functions need to be coordinated. An S&OP process is used to evaluate current levels against demands. Resources like labour, warehouse space, production capacity, contracts, transportation/shipping and professional services are planned through this process.
Areas
Functional areas within a company are fairly standard. How individuals within a function do their jobs depends on complexity of the situation and may be industry specific. Design them for coordination between functions and efficiency.
